Fall, Fall, Fall...

We love autumn. God has blest us with a beautiful fall this year. Fall has made up for a cool and wet summer. The colors have been vibrant and the fall flowers long lasting. The grapes have all been juiced and the garden picked and we are in the process of cleaning and wintering the watering system and the barn. The quince are left to pick and can. This was the first year we had a pear crop and figs. Yes, figs in the NW.



We had a great trip out to Pomery Farms with Kaylee, Lyssie and Ben. Where we enjoyed a hayride and picking pumpkins.

Great grandpa even came enjoying the out of doors.





Kaylee celebrated her eighth birthday, decorating her own cake with help from Lyssie and we were able to share the day with cousin Noah and his family and other relatives.







A Halloween party in the barn for friends and family at the end of the month brought great laughs and fun. Grandpa and Nanny were Fred and Wilma from the Flintstones, Noah and his Dad from the book "Where the Wild things Are." I remember reading it to my children often when they were small.

And the night ended with the Monster mash. Much fun was had by all with a bonfire and a hot dog feed. Michal and I made chili and ran out. At least everyone had some that wanted some.




We ended the month coming home to two jac-o-lanterns on Halloween. With a witch and a mouse ready to go to town to trick or treat the merchants.






We ended the night going to grandson Noah's house who was anxiously waiting for us.

October is past and we have November to look forward to. Spending time with family and friends are one of the many gifts we all have from God. We are anxious to see our Idaho family where we are going to be able to spend Thanksgiving, Lord willing. I know they have all grown so much, it was July the last we saw them and they are changing so much but we get to see pictures of them frequently. There is so much to be thankful for this year, as it seems every year.
