Animal Antics and a Smelly Deal

We came home one Sunday evening after worship to have a quiet snack before we went to bed. Looking out our window and watching all the animals frolicking just behind the wood pile. They were so cute even though we could only see their heads and hear their playful baa's and moo's. We settled down to eat when good neighbor John knocked on our door to tell us we had a small problem. Gideon decided that the cow was getting all the special food in her feed bucket and he wanted some also, and he was not going to give the bucket back. So he stepped gingerly into the bucket and decided to wear it around his waist. (No this is not a milk goat.) The animals were not playing. The cow wanted his bucket and was butting Gideon and Samuel and Poppy were butting Maxine the cow trying to rescue him. But in the end Grandpa came to the rescue. And all came to an end with everyone happy and content at bedtime.

A trip to Dundee. A greeting with this pretty lady. Pretty smmeeeellllly that is. Yes, we arrive at our son Ben and his wife Jaimie's home to help with some remodeling to this delay. And yes she left her calling card not once but a few times as her relocation process began. Although they are only suppose to be able to spray every10 hours she was capable of a few more short ones. Fortunately she only got the wood decking and not us. After several hours she and her family were relocated with the loss of only one child.

Remodeling begins to take shape for Kaylee's own room.

They were left with only mudding, taping and decorating to do.

The girls spent the night with us in the trailer busy with I SPY posters. We worshiped on Sunday at Tualatin where we were able to see many old and new friends. Meeting up with Dave, Michal and grandson Noah, and nephew Chris, his family and Matt and Kensey and their children for lunch. Then back to work in Dundee. And a picture before we leave, of two Oregon girls.

I was spending some time with Noah at our home and looked out to see THIS!!! with exasperation. And this is why we never get apples or leaves on the lower branches of our espaliered trees. I had a talk with her about the deal we had made that they get half the berries and that I had not put the the fruit trees in that contract. She didn't care. She is a thief and a deal breaker. This year I will pick all the berries I can find just to show her.
